Rain once again delayed action at Daytona International Speedway, this time for the running of the Gatorade Duel 150s. Hermie Sadler and the No. 00 Aaron’s team started the first qualifying race from the 11th position, but retired from the event after completing 12 laps finishing 29th.
Sadler will start the Daytona 500 from the 41st position.
The NEXTEL Cup regulars will next see action during the Happy Hour practice for the Daytona 500 on Saturday, February 18. FX coverage of the practice session will be tape delayed and aired on Sunday, February 19 at 11:30 a.m. ET. NBC will begin pre-race coverage of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 19 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
