| Aaron’s Dream Weekend at Talladega Prerace Report |
(April 11, 2005) The Aaron’s Dream Weekend returns to Talladega Superspeedway, NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track, for another action-packed weekend of restrictor-plate racing with NASCAR’s top-two premier series. The Aaron’s 312 NASCAR Busch Series race will feature top NEXTEL Cup drivers competing with the rising stars of tomorrow on Saturday, April 30 and Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will headline the Aaron’s 499 NEXTEL Cup race where they hope to finish what they started at the end of last years 499 that ended under caution.
Comedian, Adam Sandler will serve as the Grand Marshal of Sunday’s Aaron’s 499. Miss America, Deidre Downs will sing the National Anthem and Aaron’s top Product Technician of the Year will wave the green flag. Saturday’s Aaron’s 312 will feature comedian Ron White as the Grand Marshal, Aaron’s President, Ken Butler as the Honorary Starter, and Teresa Wade will sing the National Anthem.
Michael Waltrip will bring the No.99 Aaron’s Busch Series Dream Machine and will be looking for his first 2005 victory in that series, and Kenny Wallace will drive the No. 00 Aaron’s Dream Machine in the Aaron’s 499 Cup race on Sunday, May 1.
Aaron’s will again be the prominent sponsor of the weekend and will feature logos on the infield grass and track walls, signage on the new scoring tower, banners inside and outside of the speedway, PA announcements, jumbotron commercials, and custom Aaron’s driver introduction stages and Victory Lane signage throughout the weekend.
Aaron’s will also have a major presence in the corporate display area where we will entertain race fans with music and dance performances outside of the Aaron’s tent, and will feature Dream Products and register to win opportunities with free Aaron’s giveaways.
Aaron Rents, Inc. of Atlanta, GA celebrates it’s 50th anniversary this year, featuring special in-store incentives on select product and a register to win promotion for a chance to win autographed Michael Waltrip racing helmets, trips to the October event at Texas Motor Speedway where lucky recipients will have a chance to win the grand prize, a 1955 mint-condition Chevrolet Bel Air.
The green flag and the drama of the Aaron’s 312 starts Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM and the Aaron’s 499 is scheduled for Sunday, May 1 at 12:20 PM. Both events will be broadcast live on FOX television and MRN radio.
