Brett Butler Enters the USAR Hooters ProCup

(June 28, 2005) Atlanta, GA

Brett Butler will make his debut in the USAR Hooters ProCup Series - Southern Division Saturday, July 9 in the Aaron’s 250 at the Hickory Motor Speedway. Butler will be testing a ProCup car this Saturday at the speedway in preparation for the 250-lap event.

After performing well in the Late Model Stock Series this season at Hickory, Michael Waltrip is offering Brett a chance to join his brother Ken Butler III, and race at a higher level by supplying him a top-notch racecar and crew for the event. Brett will be driving the No. 00 Aaron's Dream Machine and using the Late Model crew he has been working with most of the season.

This weeks test should get Brett comfortable behind the wheel of a larger, heavier racecar, and as he is familiar with the track, this opportunity will be a good gauge of his racing development.

The USAR test at the speedway is scheduled for this Saturday, July 2 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The Aaron’s 250 at Hickory Motor Speedway is scheduled for next Saturday, July 9 at 7:30 PM. Gates open at 4:00 PM.
