Ken Butler III will be running in his 7th USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series race of the season this Saturday, June 25, 2005. KBIII spent Monday testing at the ½-mile Myrtle Beach Motor Speedway. He said, “ Testing went well. I used the time to get use to the track. I wanted to get acquainted with the feel of the car so I will know when it is going to get loose and so I will know how the car handles on the track with new and old tires.” The crew has been working diligently on the Aaron’s Dream Machine, trying to find a good setup for the 250-lap event. With 36 cars battling it out this Saturday, KBIII feels confident with his Dream Machine. Setting high expectations, he said, “ I am shooting for the top 10. I think that we can do it. I have talked with several other drivers and I am feeling very confident with the car.”
Gates open at 4:00 PM with practice until 6:30 PM. The race action begins at 7:30 PM. For more information about Myrtle Beach Speedway, call 843-236-0500.
The next Aaron’s Dream Machine races will be at the Daytona International Speedway July 1 and July 2.
